Your privacy
We use the details you share to respond to care enquiries, arrange visits and manage admissions conversations. Please share only what is needed to begin.
Information you choose to share
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The broad reason for your enquiry.
- Information needed to respond to a complaint, safeguarding concern or recruitment question.
- More detailed care information only when the team has explained a suitable route.
How we use and protect your enquiry
We use enquiry details for our legitimate interests in responding to families, arranging visits and managing admissions. We also retain the enquiry date, referring page, request reference and staff follow-up history. A broad incoming source category, such as Google, Facebook or a local guide, helps us understand where enquiries start. We do not save full referrer URLs or tracking identifiers. The category is held in page memory during navigation, without a cookie or browser storage. Enquiries are optional; you can call or email instead.
Authorised management staff can access the private admissions area. Website hosting, database, file-storage and email service providers process information to support the service. Contact details and follow-up notes are encrypted in the website database. Notification emails contain a reference and a link to the private list.
The website does not make automated admission decisions or subscribe you to marketing. Care suitability and any formal waiting-list placement are considered by the team.
Keeping information and your choices
We retain an enquiry while it is active and for as long afterwards as needed to manage follow-up, answer related questions and meet any applicable record-keeping obligations. We consider whether an enquiry remains relevant when reviewing it. Ask us about the retention arrangements for your record.
You can ask to access or correct your information, or request deletion or restriction where applicable. You can object to our use of your information for legitimate interests, including asking us to stop following up. Contact denise@summerhillcare.uk or call 01202 870935. Some information may need to be kept to meet legal obligations.
You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Ask the home for further information about service providers and any processing outside the UK.
Who to contact
Summerhill Care (Dorset) Limited
Summerhill Care (Dorset) Limited, company number 15909333, operates the home. Email denise@summerhillcare.uk or call 01202 870935 to ask how your information is used or to raise a data rights question.
Website forms
Do not send a full referral pack through a public form
Our forms ask for your name, phone number, email address, broad care interest and timeframe. Visit requests also ask for your preferred day; professional enquiries ask for your organisation. Please do not send a health record, medication list or full referral pack through these forms or by ordinary email.
Optional
Passing your enquiry to St Cecilia
Our forms include an optional box, left unticked, asking whether we may pass your enquiry to our sister home, St Cecilia, if Summerhill is not the right fit. St. Cecilia Care Dorset Limited is a separate company with the same owner. If you tick the box, or agree when we speak, we share only your name, contact details, broad care interest and timeframe. St Cecilia then handles that information under its own privacy notice.
You can withdraw this permission at any time by contacting denise@summerhillcare.uk or calling 01202 870935. Withdrawing does not affect your enquiry with Summerhill. We do not share your enquiry with St Cecilia without your permission.
